Mouth of the Rocky River, Lakewood, 9:00-9:45 a.m.
Wood Duck  -  2, m.
Canvasback  -   1, m.
Hooded Merganser  -  2, f. & m.
Ruddy Duck  -  8
Common Loon  -  2
Pied-billed Grebe  -  1
Horned Grebe  -  8, 1 in breeding plumage
Great Blue Heron  -  1
Red-tailed Hawk  -  2, flying from tree to tree
Belted Kingfisher  -  1, f.
Eastern Phoebe  -  1, heard only
Tree Swallow  -  2, flight direction - east to west

[Beaver  -  1, made a round trip from CYC to river entance and back -
photos]

Rocky River Park, Rocky River, 9:50-11:00 a.m.
Additional observers: Sam Walker, Tim & Liz Colborn
Wood Duck  -  2; flight direction - west to east
Canvasback  -  1, m. (may have been bird seen at mouth of the Rocky River)
Redhead  -  2, f. & m.
Ring-necked Duck  -  2, f. & m.
Greater & Lesser Scaup  -  XX
Turkey Vulture  -  XX, started moving about 10:15 a.m.; flight direction -
west to east
Red-shouldered Hawk  -  1; flight direction - west to east
Red-tailed Hawk  -  1; flight direction - west to east
Killdeer  -  1; flight direction - west to east
Belted Kingfisher  -  2, f. (one may have been bird seen at mouth of the
Rocky River)
Eastern Phoebe  -  1, heard only
Tree Swallow  -  2; flight direction - east to west

East end of upper area, Edgewater Park Area, CLSP, Cleveland, 11:30
a.m.-12:20 p.m.
Double-crested Cormorant  -  8; flight direction - south to north
Turkey Vulture  -  138; flight direction - west to east
Bald Eagle  -  1, adult; flight direction - east to west
Cooper's Hawk  -  1; flight direction - west to east
Red-tailed Hawk  -  5; flight direction - west to east
American Kestrel  -  3; flight direction - west to east
Northern Flicker  -  3; flight direction - west to east
American Crow  -  19; flight direction - west to east
Tree Swallow  -  1; flight direction - east to west
