Saturday, I did a program at Lakeview Park in Lorain and also had a brief
chance to bird the harbor. Duck and gull numbers and variety were down
considerably in the harbor. I did not see any ducks or gulls of note.
There were around 30 horned grebes in the harbor.

At lake view park there was a nice movement of birds overhead in spite of
the clouds and light fog. there were good numbers of blackbirds and robins.
Some of the better birds were an early PURPLE MARTIN, several tree swallows,
and a phoebe. On the lake red-breasted mergansers were the dominant duck.
This is a nice park to watch songbird and lake migration from.
