24-25 March 2007

Birded Mogadore Reservoir Saturday late morning/midday. Still ice clinging on
at the edges, north dike area had calling pied-billed grebe, singing pine
warbler and singing purple finch. East end - Palm/Ranfield Rds - had all the
expected dabbling ducks, including half a dozen blue-winged teals, and ~800
ring-necked ducks.

Sunday, Berlin had many divers - many too far to ID - between US 224 southwest
toward OH 14 and 11 common loons.
Lake Milton still has good variety, seemingly many of the same birds from early
March, with addition of loons, 15 horned grebes and a handful of morons running
remote-controlled toy boats.
West Branch SP had about 200 Bonaparte's gulls at the east end, still some ice
here too.

Peace,

Gregory Bennett
Akron OH
