At about 1:15 pm this afternoon, I observed a single very early CASPIAN TERN
on the bank of Hoover Reservoir. It was with several Ring-billed Gulls on
the west shore, just above the dam. I have a couple of photos, but when I
tried to get a little closer to get a better shot, it flew off to the north.
I returned to the area an hour later but did not relocate the tern.

The only other birds of note seen at several stops along the west shore were
a pair of Green-winged Teal, two Double-crested Cormorants and a half-dozen
Bonaparte's Gulls.
