Dr. Ransome Williams located a male Prothonotary Warbler at Carriage Park,
also known as the Sawmill Wetlands while walking the boardwalk there today. The
earliest I've located a prothonotary warbler in the area has been April
10th, This is about two weeks earlier than that individual, but the average
arrival dates for Prothonotary warblers in Franklin and Delaware counties is
between April 20th through April 26th. This was a great find by Ransome.

We keep reading and hearing about global warming and its implications to
migration. Maybe this guy knows something we don't but he is definitely early.
