The adult Bald Eagle that has been reported at Putnam's Landing park is
still there. I saw it yesterday (Sun; 3-4-07) around 2:15 PM, along with
hundreds of tame ducks, ring-billed gulls, and 1 mute swan who were all
enjoying pieces of bread given to them by children who visited. The Eagle
flew from one side of the Muskingum to the other, perching in tall trees to
observe things, then flew southward down the River. What beautiful,
graceful flyers they are ! On the way home, I stopped at Tansky's Marsh
(Hocking County - Wayne Nat'l. Forest) and observed 6 Canada Geese, 6 (3
pair) Wood Ducks, and 1 pair of Hooded Mergansers. Very productive day !!
