Just back from Holland (OH, that is).  Got there at 9:30 as a couple of Michiganders were leaving; they'd just seen the spotted towhee.  Had a glimpse myself at 10 am and a good 3 minute examination at about 10:10.  It's shy, as you'd expect a towhee to be.  Just wait patiently by the garage and watch for it to emerge from beneath the spruce.  Thanks again to the Dixons.
