A Piping Plover, American Avocet, & four Glossy Ibis were all seen at
Metzgerās Marsh this afternoon. I had good views of two American Avocet, but
heard there were three.
The Piping Plover was on the beach area facing east (lake side) south of the
fishing pier and viewable by walking on the dike. I am not sure who
originally spotted the Piping Plover.
I posted a picture of the Piping Plover on rarebird.org. This bird was not
banded.
Good Birding!
