In a post last week I mistakenly said that all Tundra Swans were gone from Funk on March 19th. I meant to say a week later, onl Monday, March 26th. Sorry!
The White-winged Scoter remained at Pleasant Hill Lake yesterday, Sunday, April 1. Additionally, there were at least 225 cormorants at Pleasant Hill Sunday. Most of the Horned Grebes, Common Loons, Ruddy Ducks and Bufflehead that were present on Saturday were gone by Sunday afternoon.
Waterfowl numbers declined from Saturday to Sunday at Funk, with large areas of habitat drying out by Sunday. Shorebird habitat right now at Funk is excellent, but only yellowlegs were found Sunday.
