Hey all,
Just an addition to Brad Spark's post from yesterday. A smaller group of Columbus' Avid Birders went to the Pickaway County Airport/ Charlies Pond area on the way home from Shawnee. Highlights there included:
Pickaway Co. Airport:
Blue Grosbeak- 1 male has returned to the area by the railroad tracks
Grasshopper Sparrow- 1
Wetland near Charlies Pond:
Am. Bittern- 1 (didn't see it right in front of us until it flew- some great camoflauge at work!)
Sora- 1 (great looks)
Wilson's Snipe- 2
Gr. Yellowlegs- 1
Lesser Yellowlegs- 4
Pectoral Sandpiper ~20
Solitary Sandpiper- 1
Good Birding,
Steve Landes
