I heard an odd vocalization at Killdeer Plains this past weekend. If
anyone was there, spent time N of 75 between 103 and 108, and doesn't mind
fielding a question about a bird call, please email me offline at your
convenience. Thank you. Incidentally, highlights of the trip were:
trumpeter swans (6)
tundra swans (2)
american wigeon (XXX)
blue-winged teal
american coots (XXX [I'm not patient enough to count])
northern shovelers
wood ducks
redheads
ring-necked ducks (XXX)
hooded mergansers
pied-billed grebe (2)
horned grebe (2)
red-tailed hawks
bald eagle (1 adult, 1 immature)
Wilson's snipe (2)
horned larks (2)
