Good Morning:

 

Our institution is in the process of reviewing ERP systems.  As an
institutional researcher, I would appreciate your thoughts on the
following:

(I apologize for the cross-posts)

 

1.	What system do you use (Jenzebar, Banner, Peoplesoft, etc)
We use a system called CARS.
2.	Were the choice up to you, would you choose it again?
It is a rather dated system and I would prefer a morre GUI based one
with easier report extraction features.
3.	What, in your opinion, is the systems number one strength
Availability of several canned reports
4.	What, in your opinion,  is the systems number one weakness
The system is rather difficult to navigate through. Also, generating
reports outside the canned ones is hard.
5.	What report writer(s) do you use
COGNOS and Impromptu
6.	Do you have a state reporting system
We are developing one currently
7.	Does your office handle IPEDS reporting
Yes
