Hello Everybody:
The Common Loons are on the move. Drove over to Pleasant Hill
Lake after church this AM. My purpose was to check on our Purple Martin
colony site. Have not seen our first Martin there (thank goodness). Sadly, I have
been finding dead Tree Swallows in nest boxes on our Bluebird/Tree Swallow
trail. It is a sad site indeed. Mother Nature has "played" a rather nasty trick on
these "little guys". Snow flakes have replaced flying insects.
On a positve note, at Pleasant Hill Lake I counted at least
50 Common Loons.
                     Happy Birding,
Don Plant, Perrysville, Ohio ( Mohican Country )
