Hi, All,

I usually run on the towpath trail near the Station Road Bridge. It's
been a real treat to watch the beaver family, but twice now (and today,
clearly far away from the beavers) I have seen a large dark animal in
the water, typically rolling over and over and splashing and then gone
"like a fist when you open your hand". I would estimate 3-4 feet long,
dark brown, and clearly a webbed paw was seen today. I couldn't, as it
was about 75 yards away and backlit by the sun, make out much more detail.

Are there otters in the Cuyahoga?

thanks,

Bill
