Had a drake long-tailed duck at the north end of Springfield Lake - by the fire
and police buildings - this afternoon. As is often the case, it was hanging by
itself and rather close to the shore and not with the red-breasted mergansers
at the south end of the lake. Over 30 purple martins were at North Reservoir
yesterday evening.

Peace,

Gregory Bennett
