This AM there were four Caspian Terns on the Cowan Lake beach along with one Herring and fifty Ring-billed Gulls. These are most likely not part of the group of ten which were there April 18 which raises the question why some species seem especially attracted to certain sites in select years. Whatever, it is wonderful to have them around even for a short time.
