21 April (Saturday) continued. I got home to Summit Lake and was going to call
it a day but I had to see the extent of the flight. Peterjohn describes an
April 1986 flight of 650+ in Portage and Summit Counties. By my count
yesterday involved over 800 buffleheads, 1100+ ruddy ducks and over 100 horned
grebes.

East Res: seven buffleheads
Long Lake: ~100 buffleheads, 30+ ruddy ducks, nine horned grebes
Nimisila Res: 11 northern shovelers, 200+ buffleheads, 250+ ruddy ducks, 30+
horned grebes
North Res: 23 buffleheads
Summit Lake: 51 buffleheads, 30+ ruddy ducks, seven horned grebes, two
Forster's terns
Turkeyfoot Lake: 100+ buffleheads, ~80 ruddy ducks, 39 horned grebes

Peace,

Gregory Bennett

The earth is the LORD's and all it contains, the world and those who dwell in
it. For He has founded it upon the seas and established it on the rivers.
