Birded Spring Valley from 5:00 pm to 8:30 pm. 58 species

Ring-necked Duck (2 males and three females)

American Bittern (1 seen from boardwalk and one heard)

Osprey (carrying something but I could not make it out, hopefully
nesting material)
Red-shouldered Hawk (heard only)
Virginia Rail (2 heard)
Sora (at least 5)
Common Moorhen (1, in the center on a mudflat)
American Coot (still several hundred)

Ring-billed Gull
Mourning Dove
Barred Owl
Belted Kingfisher
Red-bellied Woodpecker
Downy Woodpecker

N. Cardinal (found a nest with one egg)
Red-winged Blackbird (saw 1 female building nest)
