There is still some activity on the lake but variety is down considerable.
The northwest winds slowed down the songbird migration.  Songbirds of note
were WHIP-POOR-WILL (this evening), wood thrush, YELLOW PALM WARBLER and
Nashville warbler.

I did some survey work today north of Geneva and had a WORM-EATING WARBLER.
Also seen were yellow warbler, ovenbird, and rose-breasted grosbeak.

Yesterday there was a RED-NECKED GREBE on the lake just north of my house.
the bird was in breeding plumage.  It hung around for about 10 minutes
before drifting to the east.
