I was part of a group of birders that helped in the filming of a morning show segment at Greenlawn this morning. During & after 'the shoot' several of us birded around 'the Pit, the Ridge, & the Ravine' (such functional, unremarkable names for such neat spots), piling up a fairly good list of migrants. Highlights included:

Raptors - resident Red-tails & Coopers, as well as a few Turkey Vultures were out & about

Woodpeckers - lots of expected (Red-bellies, Downies, a Hairy, & many Flickers) but no Red-headed today

FLycatchers- I had a Least Flycatcher at the Ravine, while another birder reported a Great Crested

Vireos - singing Yellow-throated & Blue-winged were along the Ridge, while a Red-eyed was foraging around the Pit

Wrens - multiple singin House Wrens were joined by 1-2 singing Carolinas and 1 non-singing Winter Wren (at the Ravine).

Kinglets - still plenty of Ruby-crowns (8/1hr), but no Golden-crowns were around (and Greenlawn is one of their last bastions in Spring).

Thrushes - 6-8 Hermits were lurking around the Ravine, while 1-2 more were along the Ridge, along with 1 Swainson's

Mimids - a singing Catbird was adjacent to the Ravine, while 2-3 Mockingbirds were lustily singing from territories along the western margin of the cemetery.

Warblers - Yellow-rumps most common (10 in 1 hr), followed by Nashville (5) and Bl.Thr.Green (4). Singles included a male Bl.Thr.Blue around the Pit, a singing Pine warbler on the Ridge, a Palm foraging near the Ravine, an Ovenbird in the Ravine, and a singing Hooded & Redstart at the Pit.

Grosbeaks,Buntings - 1-2 male Rose-br.Grosbeaks were singing around the Pit, but Indigo Buntings were still wanting

Sparrows - the expected Chipping, Song, & White-throats were joined by the unexprected Field (1), Swamp (1), and White-crowns (4)
