Snow here has been at least 17" over the last few days, with over 13" on the
ground right now (some of it melted Fri-Sat.). We're near Kirtland &
Chardon, east of CLE. There's been a feeding frenzy at our feeders. In
addition to the usual suspects, we've had:

song sparrows (4)
fox sparrow (1)
purple finches (at least 15 yesterday)
chipping sparrows (5 or 6; they returned early last week)
white-throated sparrows (7)

The tree sparrows were last seen here Thursday; juncos are still around.
We've counted 20 species at our feeders in the last day and half.

I'm new to the CLE area although I lived in the Midwest most of my life.
I've only seen purple finches once before and am enjoying getting to watch
them. They seem more aggressive than house finches but maybe it's just the
time of year.

Happy birding!
