While running a transect through Friendship Park in Gahanna this morning, I noted a flock of 8 Cedar Waxwings, the first I've seen this Spring (and I've been out a bit). They were perched in a low crabapple, but took off quickly and didn't stick around. The lack of fruits after the cold Spring may have kept these 'fruit nomads' away, and may continue to keep numbers down by forcing them to wander.

Other birds of note were 12 species of warblers (Bay-breasted, Wilson's being unusual) with Yellow-throated & Parula warblers on territory, a few migrant thrushes (Swainsons, Veery), and yet another lingering Ruby-cr.Kinglet.
