I just returned to Blendon Woods and immediately heard
the boisterous song of what I'd thought was the
Kirtland's. The naturalist happened along and we
spotted the singer--a Hooded Warbler high up singing a
song we'd never heard. Perhaps the birder who emailed
me did, indeed, see a Kirtland's Warbler; but my
singer was not one. Sorry.
