I feel that it worth mentioning a pair of Ruddy Ducks seen at Longbrakes this a.m. The male was very skittish seeking cover in the cattails whenever I got close to the pair. This is the third specie of "late" duck that I've seen there the past week. A pair of Common Goldeneye last weekend, 2 female Lesser Scaup yesterday morning, and today the pair of ruddies. There is also a pair of N. Shovelers there, but no sign of Green Winged Teal who nested last year. I'll report any possible nesting activity to the listserv.
