A small group of us met Tom Sheley and then drove a short distance to the
park,Sunday morning,hoping to get a glimpse of 1 or more Prothonotary
Warblers. Instead,by the time we broke up a couple of hours later, we had
a visual ID on 4 interesting male species;namely, a Northern
Parula,Great-Crested Flycatcher, a Yellow-Billed Cuckoo,and a number of
Downy Woodpeckers.    A male Carolina Wren,an Eastern Wood-Peewee, and a
number of others including Song Sparrows and one Common Yellowthroat, were
heard but were successfully camouflaged by the dense canopy.     A fairly
uncommon butterfly I later identified as a "Hoary Edge", was close to the
riverfront area where we saw the Great-Crested Flycatcher....
