This morning 4 of the Darke County Birders checked out a property along the Greenville Creek in western Darke County. Another one of our bird club members has recently purchased the property.

Our list included:
mourning dove
yellow-billed cuckoo
downy woodpecker
e. wood-pewee
Acadian flycatcher
Eastern Phoebe with young in nest
warbling vireo
red eyed vireo
crow
blue jay
C. chickadee
tufted titmouse
wh. br. nuthatch
house wren
Blue-gray gnatcatcher
Robin
catbirds
starling
N. parula with two males countersinging from opposite sides of the creek.
Magnolia warbler
Common yellowthroat warbler
chipping sparrow
song sparrow
cardinal
indigo bunting
grackle
redwing bb
Balt. oriole
Am. goldfinch
There were quite a few birds we didn't hear or see that I thought would be there like wood thrush, but I hope to get back out there in June again.

Other birds saw nearby Bobolink, turkey, kestrel
flicker, gr. creasted flycatcher.
