I saw my first Blue-winged Warbler of the year this afternoon, as it foraged among the emerging leaves in my back yard. The bird quickly made his way down the trees along the driveway, flew across the creek, and worked its way into the woods, singing loudly (if that's what you consider "bee-blaaaatt!") all the way. The blue-wing was a new yard bird for my Pataskala home.
