This AM there was a single WILLET on the edge of the Caesar Creek beach. It was facing a rather strong wind and only once did it put up its wings and become transformed into a very beautiful bird. The only other birds present were several Ring-billed Gulls and a Spotted Sandpiper.

The Rose-breastsed Grosbeak population in our Wilmington yard contineds to grow.
Today there are six males and four females. We have been getting them each year but not in these numbers. On the other hand many, many years ago we  had annual visits from Evening Grosbeaks that seem to have changed their migration pattern.
