Reply To: | [log in to unmask][log in to unmask], 13 Jun 2007 08:22:39 -0700489_iso-8859-1 Regarding the bird Clyde Witt mentioned in an earlier post: In 2006 and once again this year there has been a partial-albino Common Grackle in the general vicinity of the intersection of Bath Rd. and Yellow Creek Rd. near the Cuyahoga Valley National Park Towpath Trail. This bird had white on its tail and several white spots on its back. My only guess would be the aforementioned bird could be another partial-albino grackle. Just a guess. Douglas W. Today as my boss and I were heading out to
lunch, I spotted a trio of Ospreys soaring over "The Hill" in Montrose
(I-77 and St. Rt. 18, DeLorme 41, C5).
There is circumstantial evidence of this being at least the second year
of possible nesting at Barberton Reservoir, a few miles due south of
there (D5). Yesterday morning, 2 were tussling over a perch in a dead
snag in a little cove off Summit Rd. I saw a pair in the same area a
few times last summer, as well.
