I just found out that a Upland Sandpiper was seen last Thur. June-21st at the Hopeton Site(owned by Mound City) just North of Chillicothe. It was seen by one of the rangers there, he happens to be a birder, and knows how rare this bird is.This a credible sighting..I was there myself that evening(6-7:30) and did not see or hear it(but did not know of the sighting yet).

I will be out there tomorrow morn. at 6:00am..to try and re-find it. This is in one of my Breeding Bird Quads...and a code-3 bird at that. I will report to the list tomorrow if it's still there.
