Even in mid-June the Caesar Creek beach will at times  provide some surprises. This AM there were 14 Herring Gulls gathered together on the beach while 21 Ring-billed Gulls were scattered, many of them on the grass. This number of Herring Gulls gives further evidence that they are more common in SW Ohio than they were years ago.
