I was observing the eaglet in the nest in the Cuyahoga Valley NP Sunday
evening. One of the adults was in the nest feeding the young for quite a
while. I noticed that the eaglet appeared to close in size if not slightly
larger than the adult. Does anyone know the sex of the eaglet? I am
guessing it is a female judging from the size? I am assuming that the adult
was the male? Is this a vaid assumption?

I did get a really good look, I was using a spotting scope with an 85mm
objective lens.

Thanks,

Dave Watkins
