Hello all,
I was able to get a few decent, but not great, photos of the kite from Hocking County. They Are found at http://www.flickr.com/photos/9131889@N07 Once again, if you are using birdingonthe.net to read this you will need to replace the word "at" with the at sign. I'd love to hear some comments on the age and sex of this bird. I will say that the sun was blaring down on it, so the pictures are a little overexposed. Note the interesting pattern on the back and the bits of white in the tail....Is this maybe a 2nd year bird or possibly molting? I'm sure the list would love to have some people more knowledgable than me chime in on this, so I'd love to hear some opinions. This was a life bird for me and the last Kite for ABA that I needed. Have a great day!
