The midges (Chironomids) have really declined over the last couple days and
the orioles and hummingbirds are back at my feeders. They disappeared when
the first big midge hatch occurred here a week or so ago. I have also had a
dark-eyed junco at the feeder over the last three days.

There are still a few migrants around. I had blackpoll and mourning
warbler, Swainson's thrush and olive-sided flycatcher today. All this in
spite of the strong northwest winds this morning.
