A call from Bob Thobaben about a Pied-billed Grebe in Wilmington's Denver Park sent me packing to see the bird. It was an adult in alternate plummage and swimming and diving away from the other domestics. I just learned Bob Powell got a picture and will post it later today. This is most unusual since I have often wondered why other than the resident waterfowl do not stop in that small pond.

Summer Day Cheers, Lary Gara, Wilmington
