The following sightings were made yesterday while doing atlas work near the Wyandot-Hardin Co. line:
Wood Duck 3 separate family units with large sized young.
Blue Winged Teal 16 inds. with a few being this years hatchlings.
Hooded Merganser 4 inds. which appeared to be this years hatchlings.
Ruddy Duck 3 males with no sign of females or breeding evidence.
Pied Billed Grebe 1 ind. on a nest and 3 other family units.
American Coot 2 young birds with many adults.
Killdeer 58 starting to stage at the wetlands
Lesser Yellowlegs 17 migration is underway
Spotted Sandpiper 4 adults with 2 young birds.
UPLAND SANDPIPER 2 agitated adults flying overhead as I was close to their nest.
Least Sandpiper 9
WILSON'S PHALAROPE 1 pair still at Longbrakes male was very nervous and vocal when I approached.
Red headed woodpecker 1 ind. vocal in a woodlot.
Field Sparrow singing on territory
Vesper Sparrow singing on territory
Savannah Sparrow 21 inds. with many young birds.
Grasshopper Sparrow 18 inds. many young birds.
HENSLOW'S SPARROW 3 singing males on territory.
Dickcissel 2 singing males on territory.
Bobolink 2 inds. in the marsh.
