I'm pleased to report that even a rookie like myself can identify the Miss.
Kite that everyone's been seeing at the Brass Ring golf course here in
Logan. The directions, location, and descriptions of the bird and its
behavior were textbook. I saw it this evening around 5:00 P.M. at the end
of the split rail fence along Keller Rd. It was catching/eating insects as
described. What a graceful flyer. I only saw the one adult, no signs of
"nesting" behavior. The directions, again are - take 33 toward Logan, exit
at 328 and go west a short distance to Keller Rd., turn right. Go along the
golf course until the split rail fence ends (both on left), and park at the
gate on the left side of the rd. Just remember to respect private property,
stay on the roadsides, and don't trespass. I could see it with my
binoculars. Happy birding !
