This week I have heard grasshopper sparrows in 3 places in Darke County.

Two places in alfalfa fields and one in a pheasants forever field.  Schroder Road, Stingley Road and the road east and parallel to Schroader Road.

Yesterday at Shawnee Prairie Preserve.  
Great blue heron
Can. goose
wood duck
redtail hawk
killdeer
mo dove
red headed woodpecker(heard only)
red belly woodpecker
flicker
downy
red eye vireo
house wrens - 2 different fledglings begging for food
wh. br. nuthatch
C. wren
robins  many fledglings
gray catbirds
common yellow throats
possible yellow warbler
field sparrow
song sparrow
indigo bunting
red wing bb
orchard oriole
A. goldfinch
pewee
