Hello Ohio Birders,

I saw a single red-breasted nuthatch yesterday morning on private property 2 1/2 miles west of Ash Cave. Red-breasted nuthatch is a VERY rare breeding species in the Hocking Hills. If you're in the area, be on the lookout especially in stands of pines.

Happy birding,

Dave Horn
