Hi,

Yesterday at my son's 36th birthday party in South Columbus near German
Village in his back gardens I saw a gorgeous black & yellow finch.

Don't quote me on the finch part, as I am a newbie to birding.

But since I can see bright colors it was a noteworthy encounter with a very
beautiful little bird that I enjoyed very much.

sincerely, cheers, judojoe

Subject: [Ohio-birds] An early migrant I think at Tuttle Park

Ahh, the season may be getting later, but I'm still monitoring them
cardinals... heh! Anyway, working in Tuttle Park in Columbus today, I
spotted a male Hooded Warbler foraging around. Obviously not a normal place
for one in this public park, never heard one sing here all year, so I'm
assuming he's heading south. Can't believe it's close to September already.
