thanks to all who helped with directions and advice, especially Bill Whan.
i was at brass ring from 11A to 12:30P and got pretty good views of the kite
from the usual spot on keller rd.  i wish i could say i definitively saw
more than one, but i can't.  the one we did see, however, was gorgeous!  we
only saw it on the wing, but it was impressive, nonetheless.  we also saw an
adult bald eagle and broad-winged hawk.
