Howdy All,

I have not had much time to be birding here in Ohio recently. Saturday
evening I arrived at Hoover Reservoir at about 6 pm and stayed until
about 8 pm. For those who wonder if it is still worth going late in the
day, this post may provide some perspective. Not as many shorebirds
present as when I visited Hoover early in August. At the boardwalk, I
found the Little Blue Heron quite easily and a Greater Yellowlegs.
After boardwalk, I walked along the east side of the reservoir from
Weise Road down to the point where there is an island. All the
shorebirds were at the end of this walk. The additional shorebirds that
I found were

Semipalmated Plover 7, Killdeer 11, Lesser Yellowlegs 2, Spotted
Sandpiper 7, Least Sandpiper 1.
