I guess if you put out the food (in this case your goldfish), the birds will
come to the table. What a sight that must have been!

Subject: [Ohio-birds] New yard bird: Green Heron

Hey all,

Well, I got a new yard bird for my yard list, but at an expense. I have a
small pond with 7 comet goldfish in it, and the other day I came out to see
a green heron flying away with 4 of them in his stomach. The frog and
tadpole are fine, and so are the remaining 3 fish. A very unusual sight for
Lakewood.

Happy birding,
Mike Stetz
Lakewood, Ohio
