This morning Rick Asamoto and I checked out the mudflats at the end of Mound Road. The population was slightly different from yesterday. Unfortunately we could not locate the Semipalmated Plover but we did see:

18 Solitary Sandpipers
1 Spotted Sandpiper
2 Pectoral Sandpipers
2 Least Sandpipers
1 Lesser Yellowlegs
20 Killdeer
3 Great Egrets
2 Kingfishers
1 Green Heron
1 Great Blue Heron

Before I arrived Rick had re-located the Sedge Wrens where the road turns in for the viewing platform. They were on both sides of the road.

Summer cheers, Larry Gara, Wilmington
