I drove out to Pickeral Creek WA hoping for some good shorebirds. Bad idea.
The promising looking area of 3 weeks ago is now under water. There was no
shorebird activity, or habitat. There were some good birds though including
8 Bald eagles and a dozen Caspian Terns.

After all that excitement, I drove back to Sandy Ridge in Lorain County.
Much better

Also, N. Mockingbird, Red-headed Woodpecker, Kingfishers, Swamp Sparrows,
and a lot of Song Sparrows.

It was nice to do some birding back in Ohio, despite the rain, after
enduring a week of birding on the New Brunswick & Maine coast ;>)

See you on the trails,
