Hello,

This morning I checked out Glacier Ridge Metro Park, but was disappointed
that the marshes are all dried up.  (Apparently they've been dry for about a
month now, but I wasn't aware of that).  I did manage to see a couple
noteworthy birds in addition to the more common ones.  While I loved
having my 9-months-pregnant wife and 2-yr-old son along with me, needless to
say my attention could not be as purely devoted to birds as if I were alone:

Orchard Oriole - 1 female in the large oaks by the observation deck
Grasshopper Sparrow - about 3 or 4 heard, and 1 seen in fields from obs.
deck
Semipalmated Plover - 1 juvenile
Spotted Sandpiper - 2 juveniles and 2 adults
Yellow Warbler - 1 female
Field Sparrow - abt. 6
Song Sparrow - abt. 8
Barn, N R-w, and Tree Swallows (mostly Barn)
Killdeer - ~6
Am. Goldfinch - many
Cowbirds - 2 or 3
Mourning Doves - tons
Red-tailed Hawks - 3
