The female rufous hummingbird was last reliably seen at about 4:30 this evening. It may have come to the feeder on the porch a little later, but we were too far away to be sure. The feeder behind the house where it had taken up residence was manned by a couple female ruby-throats this evening. The front feeders were manned by the adult male ruby-throat. The male rufous was not reported today. If either bird comes back tomorrow I'll be sure and post an update.
