Hi all: Just returned from photographing a juvenile WHITE IBIS near Holmesville in Holmes County. Neighbors of Dennis Kline thought the bird had been at their pond for at least a couple of days and first thought it was a curlew. This evening Dennis and his family ID'd it as a juvenile White Ibis and started making phone calls.

We watched the bird feed on the farm owner's pond, then take off to the southeast around 7:45, maybe to roost for the evening.

The pond is located at 9726 CR 329. From Wooster, take 83 south. At Holmesville, turn right on to Rt. 320. Then right on to 329. The pond is on the left-hand side of the road. Birders are welcome.

Su Snyder, Wooster
