Greetings
Had an interesting day of birding here in Wakeman, Lorain County. An
American Redstart decided to observe the birds at the feeders from
the deck railing. It took a long bath in the birdbath then perched on
the back of a lawn chair just inches from the window. It stayed
around for about an hour before it disappeared into the tree tops. A
gorgeous bird. On the lower level I discovered two White-throated
sparrow, our first this fall. We still have at least one RT
Hummingbird at the feeders and our RB Nuthatches are competing with
the regular birds, mostly goldfinches. Another first at the feeder
was a red bellied woodpecker. I've heard it all summer but this was
the first close-up view .
Happy birding. I can't wait to see what the change in weather will
bring in tomorrow.
