The two red-necked phalaropes and one red phalarope remained late
yesterday evening on the east shore of Hoover Reservoir (Delaware
County) just north of Pelican Island. Several times all three birds
were in a single scope view, making identification ridiculously easy.

Also, a flock of 11 buff breasted sandpipers were foraging around the
drier areas of the mudflats. After one short flight, the group
landed within 20 feet or so of Julie and Ken Davis.

I also saw one Baird's sandpiper, several short-billed dowitchers,
lesser yellowlegs, least and semipalmated sandpipers.
